Excel: In the Wild
This is a collection of instances of Microsoft Excel, as it is practiced in the wild, encounterd by me, an Excel Explorer (of other people's Excel files).
Hold to to your keyboards - we are going to see some pretty strange things.
Whole sheet is a table
The whole sheet - from A1 to XFD1048576 - was one, single, giant table. It was styled as the default dark blue, stripy table. The file ws 7MB in size. When I un-tabled it, it was 7kB.
Transpose by copying one at a time
I was on a Teams call, and the other person was screen sharing with me. He needed to copy a range of cells and transpose it. He pasted his cells into an empty area, and manually moved his cells from a vertical to an horizontal arrangement. One cell at a time. This guy had been an accountant all his career.
