This is a blog to share things I have learned on the job, mostly centred on Power BI.
This blog started when most of my day job involves the use of Power Apps. I think you can do some really clever and powerful things that are absolutely not 'low-code'.
These days, most of my day job also involves pulling in data through Power Query (into Power BI, but sometimes into Excel), data modelling in Power BI, writing DAX, and writing PowerShell code.
These lessons were cobbled together from reading countless forums posts and hours spent staring at broken or ugly code, and invaluable advice from my colleagues.
These days (2025 onwards), many of the lessons were also lifted from outputs from Claude.ai.
